Jignesa Patel

Born in India, Jignesa moved to New Zealand when she was 2 and was raised in Hamilton. She made the move to Auckland in 2013 where she finished her secondary school studies and then attended the University of Auckland.

Jignesa graduated from the University of Auckland in 2022 with her LLB.

Prior to joining McVeagh Fleming Lawyers in 2022 as a Law Clerk, Jignesa worked as a Law Clerk at a boutique law firm in Grey Lynn. Jignesa was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2024.

She works in the Immigration and Internet Law Team at the Auckland and Manukau Offices with Partner, Arran Hunt and Associate, Mahafrin Variava.

In addition to English, Jignesa is fluent in Hindi, Gujarati, and Punjabi, allowing her to communicate effectively with a broad range of clients.

Out of the office, Jignesa is an avid gamer and spends her weekends catching up on her favourite sports, including boxing, UFC, NRL and cricket.
