Maree is a property law expert with extensive specialist experience in commercial, trust, and contract law. She has extensive experience in all property matters, including complex and standard conveyancing and subdivisions.

In addition to property, Maree also has a focus in the areas of private client and commercial, enabling her to assist with refinancing, wills, trusts, elder law advice, and asset planning matters. She excels at breaking complex legal ideas into easily grasped concepts and believes in empowering her clients to make informed decisions.

Maree joins McVeagh Fleming after leading a boutique legal team in the competitive landscape of Queenstown, where she gained extensive experience in all property matters, including complex and standard conveyancing and subdivisions.

Prior to joining McVeagh Fleming, Maree led a boutique legal team in the competitive property environment in Queenstown, where she gained extensive experience in all property matters, including complex and standard conveyancing and subdivisions.

Having been the face of a small business in the competitive and overcrowded marketplace of Queenstown, Maree understands business and the necessity to continuously improve, innovate, and provide a high-level of customer service.

Maree spent over 30 years in Otago, and latterly Queenstown, is a member of the NZ Property Law Society, and holds an LLB/BA qualification.

Maree became a McVeagh Fleming Partner at the beginning of 2024, working in the Auckland CBD office full-time.
