Supreme Court Win

In a notable legal case, Peter Fuscic of McVeagh Fleming, along with with Andrew Butler KC, represented Mohan Daya in a matter before the Supreme Court of New Zealand. The case centered around a dispute regarding the internal governance of Yogi Divine Society (NZ) Inc (YDSNZ), with Ashokbhai Rohit contesting decisions made concerning the organization's leadership.

Despite an extension of time being granted for the application, the court ultimately dismissed Rohit's request for leave to appeal, upholding the rulings of the lower courts. As a result, Rohit was directed to pay costs totaling $2,500 to Daya.

Mr Fuscic's representation helped secure this outcome, ensuring that Daya's position regarding YDSNZ's governance prevailed. This outcome is a commendable result from McVeagh Fleming -  achieving a favourable result for this client in complex legal matters before the highest court in New Zealand.
