Sonam completed Master of Laws with Honours from the University of Auckland in 2012, subsequently after completing her Bachelors Degree in Law. She was admitted in the High Court of New Zealand as a Barrister and Solicitor in 2011. She was also admitted as an Australian Lawyer of the Supreme Court of Victoria in 2013.
Prior to joining McVeagh Fleming, Sonam worked in other Auckland and Melbourne Law firms with her main areas of practice in commercial law, debt enforcement, civil litigation, estate litigation, insolvency, employment law and dispute resolution.
Sonam works closely with Partners, Craig Andrews and John Burley, in the Litigation Team at the Auckland Office on a range of matters including civil litigation, commercial litigation employment disputes and construction disputes.
Sonam is a fluent speaker of Gujarati, Hindi and understands Punjabi language.
Outside of the office, Sonam is an enthusiast photographer and a jeweller. She enjoys travelling, gym activities and spending time with friends and family.
