Karlene graduated from the University of Canterbury in 2013 and after spending a couple of years living in France, returned to be admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in 2015. Prior to joining McVeagh Fleming in 2018, she worked in a property focused law firm, specializing in disputes within property, construction and commercial law. Karlene's understanding of the French language enables her to assist French-speaking clients with their legal needs.
Karlene works closely with Partners, Craig Andrews and John Burley, in the Litigation Team at the Auckland Office on a range of matters including commercial and contract disputes, employment disputes, property disputes and debt recovery.
Outside of the office, Karlene loves getting to the beach, hiking, swimming and competing in surf lifesaving sports – particularly surf boat rowing.
