Alissa Bell Continues as NZLS Panel of Family Mediators Member for 2026-2027

McVeagh Fleming is pleased to announce that Alissa Bell, Partner and Chair of the Board, has been welcomed back as a member of the New Zealand Law Society (NZLS) Panel of Family Mediators for the 2026-2027 membership year. The panel recognises lawyers with specialist skills and experience in family mediation and alternative dispute resolution.

Alissa has practised extensively in family law for many years and has been a qualified Family Specialist Mediator since 2012. She works with individuals, couples and families to help resolve disputes in a constructive and practical way, with a focus on achieving workable outcomes while reducing the emotional and financial costs often associated with litigation.

Family mediation can provide an effective pathway for resolving issues relating to separation, parenting arrangements, relationship property and other family law matters. By encouraging communication and collaborative problem-solving, mediation can help parties reach agreements that are tailored to their circumstances and maintain important family relationships where possible.

As one of Auckland's leading family lawyers, Alissa is recognised for her expertise in family and relationship property law and is regularly sought out by clients looking for clear advice, strong advocacy and practical dispute resolution strategies. She is a Partner at McVeagh Fleming, Chair of the firm's Board, and an active contributor to the wider legal profession through her involvement with family law organisations and professional development initiatives.

For those considering mediation as an option for resolving a family dispute, McVeagh Fleming provides experienced guidance throughout the process. You can learn more about our mediation services on our mediation service page.
