Hiruni graduated from the University of Auckland in 2019 with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and was admitted to the Bar in November 2021.
Hiruni began working in the field of Employment Relations. Most recently, Hiruni worked in-house at a large company, doing employment relations work.
Hiruni was born in Sri Lanka, and moved to New Zealand in 1995 with her family, at the age of eight.
