Alex Wang

Alex graduated with a Bachelor of Laws in 2018. Prior to joining McVeagh Fleming, Alex worked as a Law Clerk in litigation for six months at another New Zealand firm and was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in July. Following admission, Alex went to Fordham University in New York to pursue an LLM. During the LLM, Alex worked as a Research Assistant for his Corporation's Professor and at the New York Federal Court of the Southern District, as well as doing in-house work for a Spanish Benevolent Society. Alex joined McVeagh Fleming's Litigation Team in November 2021.Alex is fluent in Chinese (Mandarin).

Alex enjoys most sports, with particular interest in martial art, having done competitive Mixed Martial Art (MMA) and kickboxing for five years.

Alex is also a film and theatre enthusiast, having done and worked in many productions.

Outside of work, Alex likes to spend as much time as he can out and about. He loves long road trips with friends and family, but also a nice book or a good movie for a quiet night in.
