Yolande has been involved in Law since leaving school. She worked for a couple of prominent law firms in South Africa, also assisting a High Court Judge who specialised in high profile criminal cases, whilst completing her first year as a law student at Vista University, South Africa.
After arriving in New Zealand in 2000 she joined a medium-sized Auckland law firm where she worked as a banking and finance legal assistant. She also worked as a legal executive in a number of large Auckland law firms where she gained experience in residential and commercial property transactions.
Yolande completed her legal executive course in 2007 and has also completed several Bachelor of Business Studies papers at Massey University.
Outside of work Yolande enjoys reading, especially reading up on new farming techniques; gardening - trying to grow subtropical fruit trees in the New Zealand climate (apparently not having much success though); and looking after her Rottweiler which includes running and walking him often.
