Emaleigh Walker

About

Emaleigh qualified from the University of Auckland with Law and Arts degrees and was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in 2001.  Emaleigh joined the Commercial Team of McVeagh Fleming in 2016 as an Associate.

Emaleigh has had varied experience in law firms in the Auckland city fringe and CBD as well as suburban and semi-rural practices working in the property and commercial areas, trusts, asset protection, estates as well as civil, family, employment and criminal litigation.  Emaleigh has appeared in the Employment Relations Authority, Employment Court, District Court and High Court as well as having juniored with Queens Counsel.  Her previous experience also includes providing legal services to an Australasian wealth management company (listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX:IFL) in the top 200 listed companies), as well as non-legal roles in the UK and USA including a management role within a business.

At McVeagh Fleming, Emaleigh focuses mainly on company and commercial law with an interest in construction, subdivisions, leasing, commercial financing and general business advice.
